May 3rd: Orientation

Today began somewhat awkwardly as we all arrived to Towers lobby to check in for the night.  We all were sort of waiting for other people who we knew to show up because most of us didn't know each other and were part of different trips.  At 4:00 we all gathered together for our orientation session in order to go over some last minute details.  Afterwards we got to have dinner as a group at the Porch, which had quite an interesting menu.  I tried their caesar salad and margarita pizza, both of which were awesome.  Dinner was a great experience to start forming bonds with the other members of the Chile group.  After dinner, we relaxed and hung out together for awhile, discussing how our semesters went, what we are doing in the summer, and what we are excited to experience on our trip.  We tucked in early though, in order to get a good night's rest before the big journey.
